Find The News You Want Fast With Flud

Use flud to manage news feeds and share the events you care about most. Let’s faceit, there’s so much information flying around nowadays that keeping on top of it all is becoming more and more of a nightmare. That’s where flud comes in. it’s an application that lets you personally tailor the news content you receive, making sure you get all the facts from the breaking stories that you’re going to be interested in, and from the source you most trust and enjoy.
More than that though, it’s also way of networking with like-minded friends, sharing the stories that you really care about, and saving interesting post so that you can catch up with them when you get a free couple of minutes.


In this tutorial we get you started on Flud, teaching you how to get most out of the exciting features on offer. We’ll also let you in on some of the tricks that will make sure the news you’re getting is as diverse and interesting as possible, and show you how to build up a bank of knowledge about topics ranging from technology to politics entertainment.

  1. create your profile                                                                                       once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll be prompted to build yourself a profile. This only takes a few seconds, and once you’re done you’ll be able to link your account to facebook and twitter and then easily find any contacts that the three social networks share.
  1. Read the tips
Once you’re into the app, swipe to the right of the main news feed and you’ll come across a tips section. Here you’ll find some handy inforation about your account, the trending news that’s being shared, and how you can better get involved with the flud community. 

  1. have a look round
swiping along the news feeds will take you through the different categories and news sources that the app adds by default, once you’ve had a quick browse through the options, it’s time to start tailoring the experience.

  1. Find some news
From the main news page, tap on the more icon positioned in the top right corner of your screen and then, on the menu that pops up, select add news. This will take you to a new page where you can begin adding news outlets.

  1. Add some sources
The centre of the page is where you’ll find this week’s recommended outlets, and tapping on them will give you a preview of their feed. Tap on browseby category to sift through all the feeds and choose the ones you want.

  1. Trim the fat
Before you head back to the news feeds, scroll down to the bottom of the sources page and tap the manage sources option. This will enable you to delte any unwanted outlets, and modify the position of your new sources in the main news feed to your personal preference.

  1. Open the flud gates
Next, head back to the main page and you’ll find that your sources are in place. All you have to do is tap on story to bring it up in the app. From there you can flud it to your profile, share if over twitter and facebook or open it in your  browser  to explare further

  1. Save some for later 
If you tab on the reading list button instead of the story, you can add that piece to your list for later. Your reading list can be made public too, in order to give people an idea of the news you like and whether you’re worth following.
