How to set up a conference Call on Android Device

Conference calls are quick and easy on your Android device. Here is how…
Conference calls are a great way to contact several people simultaneously. Whether it’s for business or pleasure they are very handy, and surprisingly simple to set up. Certain apps like Skype offer the ability to create a video conference call, where you can chat using a device’s front-facing camera.

On the other hand, your Android phone has the capability to produce a conference call, even if it’s a rather basic one. Some devices won’t have front-facing cameras, and therefore won’t benefit from using an app, but can still make a decent call by following this tutorial.

In it we will show you how to go about preparing for a conference call; as well as guiding you through the setting you may want to change or take a look at before starting your call, and then the process of making the call itself.

  1. Increase the volume
To successfully start a conference call, it’s highly recommended that you first increase the volume on your device. With several people talking at the same time, it’s important that you can hear everyone and that they can hear you. Adjust your volume to the maximum level.

  1. Show all your contact
Access your contact list, and open the contact to display menu with it’s settings. Some of your contacts may not be shown on your phone’s internal contacts list, and instead they may be contact you made over a social network like Twitter or Facebook

  1. Define customized view
While on the contacts to display menu, enter the customize sub-menu. From here you can choose from all of the contacts available for you to call. If you want to add a twitter contact to your conference call, then press on the twitter option displayed on screen.

  1. Prepare to make a call
Go back to your home screen and begin to start calling one of the people you want to start a conference call with. Once connected, press the symbol on the bottom-right of the screen. This will then allow you to add a person to your current call.

  1. Start the call
You’ll now see the standard call screen, but you’ll still be connected to your previous caller at the same time. You can choose a contact to add from your contacts list, recent contacts, or just type out a new number on your phone pad.

  1. Add another recipient
After inputting the number, you can choose to add the number to your contacts, or add another number at the same time. Once you’ve finished, press the phone symbol on the bottom of the screen to commence the conference call.
