All tablets come with wi-fi functionality built in and some also
offer the ability to use a mobile broadband connection via sim card. It may
sound like a hindrance to use just Wi-Fi, but you can make the most of your
smartphone and negate the need to pay extra for a 3G tablet. Most Android phones offer the ability to let you use their internet connection with other
devices, and for tablets this is particularly useful. Our steps by step below
details the actual process, but with a generous tariff in place you can save
yourself from needing a completely separate contract. Cloud services bring your
phone and tablet together in a way that is almost completely invisible. With
services like dropbox, you can upload
edit or edit a file and
immediately see it on a corresponding device, and there are many other apps and
service that can perform similar task. Because the work and file hosting is
done in the cloud, all you need to do is connect to your account with your
phone or tablet to see the latest position. An Android tablet and smartphone
will work in tandem with little effort required.
Share Your Phone’s Internet Connection
If you’ve bought a wi-fi only tablet you might think you’ll be
limited in how you can use the internet on the go. But by connecting it to your
phone you can access the web from anywhere, just as you would with a 3G Android tablet.
Setting up a “hostpot” on an Android phone for your tablet to connect to takes
under two minutes. It is exceptionally easy process and can save you a lot of
money.

Now
go to Setting > Wireless & Network > Wi-Fi setting on your tablet and
look for the new access point you have just created. Choose it, input your
password and away you go. You might find data speeds are not as fast as over
regular Wi-Fi, but over 3-5G this should be more than adequate
